Life Time Chicago 5K

Congratulations, Athletes!

The Life Time Chicago 5K will take place on the same day as the Life Time Chicago Half Marathon, and actually uses the same finish line as well. The race is a great opportunity for friends and families to participate before they cheer their loved ones competing in the Chicago Half Marathon on to the finish.

Age Requirement

Age limit for the 5K distance is 8 and over. This means if your child will be 8 by the date of the race (9/28/2025), they are able to participate in this distance.

Awards

Awards will be given to the top three overall male, female and non-binary finishers. Additional awards will be given to the top three men and women in the following age groups:

19 & Under | 20-29 | 30-39 | 40-49 | 50-59 | 60-69 | 70-79 | 80-89 | 90+

*Award winners who wish to receive their award but do not pick up on race day may select to have their award mailed. Shipping charges will apply.

Course

  • The Life Time Chicago 5K starts and finishes in Historic Jackson Park, just south of the Museum of Science and Industry. The 5K has the same start and finish line as the Chicago Half Marathon. 5K participants will experience a scenic tour of beautiful Hyde Park and sweeping views of the Chicago skyline and south shore.
