HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes Rules

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE THE CHANCES OF WINNING.

  1. Eligibility: The HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes is open only to those who follow the steps to enter via the directions in the @ChicagoHalf Instagram post and who are 18 years of age as of the date of entry. The HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes is only open to legal residents of the United States. Employees of Life Time, Inc., its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers, (collectively the “Employees”), and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of Employees are not eligible to participate in the HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes. The HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
  2. Agreement to Rules: By participating, the Contestant (“You”) agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of Life Time as final and binding as it relates to the content of this HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes.
  3. HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes Period: Entries will be accepted online starting on August 24, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. CT and ending August 31, 2021 at 5 p.m. CT. All mail-in entries must be postmarked by August 31, 2021, received by September 6, 2021 at 5 p.m. CT. The winner will be announced September 7, 2021. All entries not selected will continue to rollover to the following week until the sweepstakes’ end.
  4. How to Enter: The HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes must be entered by submitting an entry by following the steps provided at the @ChicagoHalf Instagram. The entry must fulfill all HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. You may enter multiple times. Each individual post counts as an entry. If You use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules, your submission may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of Life Time. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Life Time. You must provide the information requested.
  5. Alternate Method of Entry: You can request entry into the contest without making a purchase or entering a photo via social media platform by mailing the following information to Life Time, ATTN: Life Time Partnership Media, 2100 Central Ave, Suite 201, Boulder, CO 80301: your full name, mailing address, phone number and/or email address, and desire to enter the HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes. All mail-in entries must be received by September 6, 2021 at 5 p.m. CT. Each request must be mailed in a separate stamped envelope. Requests that are sent in business reply envelopes, that utilize address labels or stickers (for any address), that are photocopies, hand-stamped, computer-generated or otherwise mechanically or digitally produced or reproduced, that are not mailed in separate stamped mailing envelopes, or that otherwise fail to comply with the Official Rules, will NOT be honored, acknowledged, or returned, and the persons submitting such requests will forfeit any corresponding postage.
  6. Prizes: The (1) Winner of the HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes (the “Winner”) will receive a pair of HOKA ONE ONE’s Rincon 3 shoes from their website (ARV of $115). Actual/appraised value may differ at time of prize award. The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by Life Time. HOKA ONE ONE is a sponsor of the HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes but is in no way responsible for the selection of winners or distribution of prizes. No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted. The prize is nontransferable. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of Winner. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by Winner is permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Life Time and HOKA ONE ONE to use Winner’s name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
  7. Odds: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received and the number of times entered.
  8. Winner Selection and Notification: Winner will be selected at random by Life Time. Winner will be notified by Instagram message or by alternative method of entry contact information within five (5) days following selection of Winner. Life Time shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within the time award notification was sent, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and release as required, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner selected. Receipt by Winner of the prize offered in this HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY WINNER (AT LIFE TIME‘S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF THE HOKA ONE ONE CHICAGO HALF MARATHON & 5K SOCIAL SWEEPSTAKES, AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.
  9. Rights Granted by You: By entering this content (e.g., photo, video, text, etc.), You understand and agree that Life Time and HOKA ONE ONE, anyone acting on behalf of Life Time or HOKA ONE ONE, and Life Time’s and HOKA ONE ONE’s licensees, successors, and assigns, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, your entry, name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, statements about the HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes, without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent.
  10. Terms & Conditions: Life Time reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond Life Time’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes. In such case, Life Time may select the Winner from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by Life Time. Life Time reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes or website or violates these Terms & Conditions. Life Time has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes, to void votes for any reason, including, but not limited to: multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed by HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes rules; or the use of bots, macros, scripts, or other technical means for entering. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such attempt be made, Life Time reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  11. Indemnification and Limitation of Liability: By entering, You agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Life Time and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such entrant’s participation in the HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; (v) electronic or human error in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT PARTICIPATION IN THE HOKA ONE ONE CHICAGO HALF MARATHON & 5K SOCIAL SWEEPSTAKES IS AT YOUR OWN RISK AND LIFE TIME IS IN NO WAY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURY, ILLNESS, OR DAMAGE THAT OCCURS DUE TO YOUR PARTICIPATION. If contest requires a submission of original work by You, You represent and warrant that your entry is an original work of authorship, and does not violate any third party’s proprietary or intellectual property rights. If your entry infringes upon the intellectual property right of another, You will be disqualified at the sole discretion of Life Time. If the content of your entry is claimed to constitute infringement of any proprietary or intellectual proprietary rights of any third party, You shall, at your sole expense, defend or settle against such claims. You shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Life Time from and against any suit, proceeding, claims, liability, loss, damage, costs or expense, which Life Time may incur, suffer, or be required to pay arising out of such infringement or suspected infringement of any third party’s right.
  12. Disputes: THIS HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OFTHE UNITED STATES AND MINNESOTA, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes, participant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Minnesota having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances shall participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees, other than participant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e. costs associated with entering this HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes). Participant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
  13. Privacy Policy: Information submitted with an entry is subject to the Privacy Policy stated on Life Time’s website. Life Time may collect information that you provide to enter the Sweepstakes and will use personal information you provide to enter the Sweepstakes to actually conduct the Sweepstakes. Life Time may provide the personal information you provide to third party fulfillment companies only to administer the Sweepstakes and deliver prizes to winner.
  14. Winners List: To obtain a copy of the Winner’s name or a copy of these Official Rules, mail your request along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: Life Time, Inc. ATTN: Life Time Partnership Media, 2100 Central Ave, Suite 201, Boulder, CO 80301. Requests must be received no later than September 6, 2021 at 5 p.m. CT.
  15. Social Media: The HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes hosted by Life Time is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

By following the steps to enter the HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5k Social Sweepstakes, You, the Contestant, have affirmatively reviewed, accepted, and agreed to all of the Official Rules.
