HOKA ONE ONE
RUN THE L CHALLENGE
We introduced the first ever Run the L Challenge in the summer of 2020. In a time when in person events were on hold, we had to remain socially distant from our running buddies and the world as we knew it had changed, we desperately needed some extra motivation and support to lace up our running shoes. The 8 week, 131 mile Challenge delivered all of that and more, together we logged 218,782 miles and came together as a community over our shared love for running and all things Chicago!
The Run the L Challenge is Back!
We know first hand that having a purpose to get out the door and working towards a bigger goal makes getting out for some fresh air and exercise so much easier!
We invite you to join us for the Spring 2021 edition of the HOKA ONE ONE Run the L Challenge presented by the Chicago Half Marathon Series (the same team that brings you the Chicago Spring Half Marathon & 10K and the HOKA ONE ONE Chicago Half Marathon & 5K.)
We challenge you to Run the L! Run (or walk or wheel) the entire distance of Chicago’s elevated public transit system. We’ll give you 8 weeks to tackle 131 miles. Do it solo or grab a running buddy to divide and conquer this unique challenge!
We’ll give you the motivation you need each week as we take on a new line between March 22 and May 16.
You can follow along with each week at your own pace throughout the 8 weeks or challenge yourself to complete the 131-mile challenge in as few weeks as you can. Simply log your time and distance after you complete your activity until you reach the total distance of the L – 131 miles.
Since this is a virtual challenge, you can run (or walk or wheel) wherever and whenever you want during the 8-week timeframe!
We’ll re-share all the fun ways you all are accomplishing the challenge on social, along with our own tips and tricks to tackle the distance! Join us on a virtual, locals-only tour of Chicago, earn fun Chi-Town themed badges, and be entered to win great prizes.
Give yourself a reason to get out the door and log those miles.
Let’s #RunTheL together!
