Spectator Information

Viewing Locations

Spectators have a couple of great options to watch their friends and family participate in the Chicago Half Marathon or Hyundai Hope on Wheels 5K.  Spectators may view the start and finish of the events in Jackson Park.  After the start, spectators can see participants at the 1 mile mark, the 4 mile mark, 5 mile mark and the 12 mile mark by walking within Jackson Park.  The Jackson Park area provides ample opportunities for spectators to see their loved ones participate.

If you're coming from Northwest Indiana, the South Shore Line also offers a great, easy way to get to the race and also leaves you a short 1.4 mile walk to the start line or you can take one of the shuttles waiting for you.  You will take the (Train #600) and will arrive at 57th Street Stop at 6:37 a.m.  For more information on the South Shore Line, click here.

The shuttle system will also be running from three convenient stops around the Chicago area.  The shuttles will leave each stop at 5:30 a.m. and will arrive at Jackson Park by 6:15 a.m.  Round-trip tickets are needed to ride the shuttle and can be purchased for $12.  All tickets must be pre-purchased and are purchased for a specific pickup location.

The W Chicago Lakeshore (644 N. Lake Shore Drive)
Millennium Park (Corner of Randolph & Michigan)

           Belmont (Red/Brown Line stop)

Shuttles will have two separate departure times, 10:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.  You may ride either time back to your hotel, but we will not offer a later time if you miss one of these shuttles.

No parking is available in or around Jackson Park.  There are a limited number of spaces available at the Museum of Science & Industry (57th St. & Lake Shore Drive).  The parking garage is approximately 1.1 miles to the start/finish lines.
