Perform at the 16th Annual Chicago Half Marathon
20,000 participants will enjoy your entertainment so much they’ll forget about the distance.

The 16th Annual Chicago Half Marathon and Hyundai Hope on Wheels 5K will bring in 20,000 runners and walkers to historic Jackson Park and the southern Lakeshore Drive. Entertainment is being sought to participants to complete the 13.1 mile course as they meander through many beautiful neighborhoods.
There are many highlights to performing in front of the 20,000 participants in the Chicago Half Marathon & Hyundai Hope on Wheels 5K:
- Group name and booking information listed on the Chicago Half web site (www.chicagohalfmarathon.com).
- Group signage may also be displayed at your performance location as long as it does not interfere with the race (Signage may only be 3’x 6’).
The Chicago Half Marathon begins at 7:00 a.m., which means your group must be at their assigned location by 6:00 a.m. Everyone will finish by noon, with some groups ending earlier, depending on your location on the course.
Along the 13.1 mile Mini-Marathon course and the 3.1 mile Hyundai Hope on Wheels 5K course. Performance locations will be mailed in mid-August. Most locations are near businesses along the route.
All groups will be responsible for supplying their own equipment. The Half Marathon will provide access to electricity, either from a business or a generator. Please be specific when completing the application, so we can best accommodate your group. If you have your own generator, please note this as well.
Notification & Orientation:
Confirmation letters will be mailed upon receipt of your application and demo tape/CD. Selection will occur in early August, with selection letters going out in late August. Location assignments will be mailed in early September. Entertainment groups will be capped at 18.
